Service Projects

December 2019 we provided 25 Christmas gifts for a family from the Elizabeth Freeman Center.  Please see attached thank you note in attached document.

January 11th we worked with Habitat for Humanity on house on Gorden Street in Pittsfield.  We want to shout out a huge thank you to Lorinda for providing a most fabulous lunch for all the volunteers this day.

February 2, 2020 – we provided lunch for the community at the Dalton Senior Center.  We served 32 people. 

On February 28th we donated 30 items to the Dalton Food Pantry. 

March Service project is accepting donations to the Saint Anna’s Orphanage in Tanzania.  To date we have collected $895.00

April Service project we donated $1500 divided between three food pantries – Dalton Food Pantry, Hinsdale Food Pantry, and the Food Bank of Western Mass.

May Service project we donated another $1,500 plus some private additional donations to three food pantries as we did the month before in April.  Personal donations came to an additional $450 to Dalton Food Pantry, Hinsdale Food Pantry and Western Area Food Bank.

June Service project we collected additional funds toward the Polio Children Group. We sent them $350.00.

 

July we collected donations to give to the NAACP.  We have raised $230.00.

 

August – we collected $785 for the Christian Center.

September – We voted to withdraw another $1,500 from our account thereby sending $500 each to Western Area Food Bank (plus another $163), Hinsdale food pantry (plus another $663) and the Dalton food pantry (plus another $163).  

October – we collected supplies to make up 20 Homeless Packets to include hat, gloves, scarves, socks.   In total we collected $765.00.  We also provided numerous set of thermal underwear and extra hand warmers and foot warmers.

November – Our November Project was providing items for three Thanksgiving baskets for 3 families.   We also collected $500.  We divided that amount up between families (per person) with a grocery store gift card.
